About

Since late childhood I wondered why the music in the background of some Saturday Morning shows made me feel a certain way, took me to a place I could not describe. Since that time I have explored instrumental music visually; listening and letting it paint pictures in my mind. Later journeys through public radio hosting and production, collecting music and reaching out to composers and producers. Now I have decided to combine all these interests into a program discussing why there has been such a pull for so long with the artists behind the music.

Off The Beaten Soundtrack is a series of candid conversations about film and television music with the creators. Topics include early biography, music theory and artistic decisions, as well as anecdotes about directors and producers in the movie and music industries.

Off The Beaten Soundtrack is produced for distribution on PRX, the Public Radio Exchange
